You are at the web-site of the Howard County Democratic Central Committee (HCDCC). We hope you find it informative and insightful into the activities of the Democratic Party. On the right side of the "Homepage" you will find a listing of various events in the County. Click on the event and you will get the information associated with it.

We maintain an office at 7050 Oakland Mills Road, Columbia. The office is open on Tuesday and Thursday from 11a to 3p. We are also open on Thursday evenings from 6:30p to 8:30p. Please stop by, say hello, sign-up as a volunteer, spend an hour reaching out to newly registered Democrats and receive a 2012 OBAMA bumper sticker for your efforts.

Volunteers are the backbone of the Democratic Party and as we gear-up to elect our President and our Congressional Representatives, we need your help. Call our office at 410-290-9791.

The Real Job Creator: Main Street

Recently, I read an article In YES Magazine puting the Republican myth to rest as to who is the jobs creators in our economy. Wall street does not create jobs, its sole purpose is to make money.  Wall Street institutions view wages and worker benefits as costs to be minimized. Wall street executives know that the most certain way to boost the share price of their company, and thereby pump up the value of their personal stock options, is to announce that thousands of people are to be laid off, their jobs eliminate or moved abroad.
