You can visit the University of Maryland Election Center and check to make sure you are registerd and to find your polling place by clicking on www.mdelections.org/

How do I register to vote?

You can download a copy of the Voter Registration Application, by clicking on the "voter registration application" link at the bottom of this page. Fill out and mail to Howard County Board of Elections, 9770 Patuxent Woods Drive, Columbia, MD 21046.

How do I change my party affiliation?

Submit a new Voter Registration Application or a signed written request to your county Board of Elections.

I just moved. What do I do about my registration?

Notify your county Board of Elections by submitting a new Voter Registration Application.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to vote by provisional ballot if for any reason you are not able to vote on the regular voting machines.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to vote without showing identification unless you are a first-time voter who did not show ID when you registered.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to assistance at the polls if you have a physical disability or an inability to read the English language.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to Vote-By-Mail for any reason.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to take time off from work to vote.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to vote on the regular voting machine if you are in line at your polling place by 8:00pm.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to have your polling place open promptly at 7:00am.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to vote without being approach or solicited within 100 feet of your polling place.
